For Love of Neighbor: Politics for the Common Good

For Love of Neighbor: Politics for the Common Good

In today's polarized and politicized culture, Christians need the tools to discover what a Christian civic witness looks like beyond just how we vote. "For Love of Neighbor” is a documentary film and small group discussion series that invites us to think beyond just “voting Christian policies” and consider how we can participate in political and civic life for maximum impact.

The six-week course begins with a documentary film that explores the stories of three Christians searching for a better way to engage different levels of government. Subsequent weeks and videos prompt participants to think through hard questions like: What is government for? How should Christians operate in a pluralistic society? How do you balance the character and policy positions of a politician? How can I escape the trap of toxic polarization?

Below, you can find the 50-minute documentary film, five follow-up videos that delve deeper into the film's themes, promotional materials, and a weekly discussion guide that will help leaders and individuals ask insightful questions in a small group or congregation.
